School Dinners

Holywell’s kitchen serves outstanding dinners, under the leadership of Food School Support Catering.

All children in Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 have been entitled to a free hot lunch.

Parents and carers of all children receiving Income Support or Income-based Based Job Seekers’ Allowance are entitled to claim free school meals for their child.

Free School Meals and other support for disadvantaged pupils - what you need to know

A cafeteria system operates and there is a good choice of dishes including salad and a vegetarian option. Dietary needs are well catered for; always ask if you have specific requirements.

The cost of school dinners from Autumn 2023 is £2.55 per day / £12.75 per week.  Payment is made on our Reach More Parents App. You will be given your login details and password once your child has started school. Payment and meal choices need to be made by parents a week in advance.

We expect good table manners and excellent behaviour in our school dining hall. Please ensure that your child can use a knife and fork correctly.

Children are well supervised during the lunch break by our team of Lunchtime Supervisors and are encouraged to play a variety of different games. Year 6 helpers also assist in several ways and several clubs are operating at lunchtime too. 

Children are entitled to a happy and enjoyable lunchtime.
