Welcome

A very warm welcome to our school. We believe Holywell is a special place where we develop happy, inquisitive, and resilient lifelong learners who strive for excellence. Our children and staff take great pride in our school community, where all aspects of learning are underpinned by kindness, politeness, and mutual respect.

The school first opened in 1968 and subsequently converted to a Single Academy Trust in 2012. Holywell is a thriving, larger-than-average school. Situated near Loughborough University, we are proud to welcome families from all over the world. This unique connection gives us a beautifully diverse, multi-ethnic community with around 30 different languages spoken. We truly consider ourselves an 'international' school, warmly embracing the rich mix of cultures, languages, and religions that our families bring.

We endeavour to provide the very best education within a nurturing, engaging environment. Driven by high standards and challenging targets, our highly skilled staff deliver a vibrant curriculum alongside exciting extra-curricular enrichments, ensuring every child thrives and makes excellent progress.

Our guiding principle is that children are always at the heart of everything we do. They are our first and last consideration in every decision, with the ultimate aim of keeping them safe while providing the best possible experiences and outcomes.
