Appeals

If your child has been denied a school place, you have the option to appeal the decision. If you applied during the normal round of first-time admissions (for children aged 4) and were refused a school place, your child will automatically be placed on the school’s oversubscription waiting list. Please note that the school does not maintain a waiting list for other age groups.

Your child's position on the Oversubscription List will depend on how well they meet the school's admissions priority criteria. You can find more details in our admissions policy.

If a place becomes available and your child is at the top of the list, we will automatically contact you to offer the place.

There is a strict timetable for submitting and hearing appeals. In summary, if you applied on time for a place in reception for the upcoming school year, you will be informed of your success by mid-April. Any appeals must be submitted to Leicestershire County Council according to this timetable. If you are applying for a transfer from another school and your application is unsuccessful, you have 20 school days to appeal. Full details can be found below.
