I should like to thank you for your interest in teaching at Holywell Primary School. Although we are a large primary school, we are a close, strong staff and very supportive of each other, and we enjoy the opportunity to welcome people with similar values to our team.

Our governors are also very supportive and are seeking to appoint an inspiring teacher, with highly effective curriculum delivery, who will work with us to maintain our commitment to excellence and high standards in all aspects of school life. We hope this person will bring their own interests to the school and enjoy working with a team committed to the best education possible for our children.

The teacher who joins us will need to be able to work closely with colleagues on all aspects of the curriculum and organisational planning. We also encourage staff to support the extensive extra-curricular programme of activities including sporting, musical and creative clubs.

Holywell is part of a collaborative partnership with Loughborough – the LPAP group (Loughborough Primary Academy Partnership) who seek to promote the education of all children in the partnership by building strong ties between teachers. Our teachers network together, sometimes through job role e.g. English Coordinators, Learning Mentors etc. but also through regular meetings with teachers working in the same year group. This enables moderation, sharing of ideas and resources and professional discussion.

We have well-behaved, respectful children, who are interested and engaged in their learning. They have learned about Growth Mindset during the past two years and frequently demonstrate perseverance, resilience and independence in their learning. They are also friendly, welcoming and fun. As a school, we hold the level 2 Rights Respecting School Award (and are aiming for Level3) and our children clearly demonstrate their understanding of children’s rights across the world and their commitment to helping children less fortunate than themselves.
